You will have a few chances to add or drop classes after your Study Card is submitted. Check the academic calendar for the exact dates ([http://www.gsas.harvard.edu/academic\_calendar/important-dates.php](http://www.gsas.harvard.edu/academic_calendar/important-dates.php)). They are usually on a Monday.

**Last day to Add/Drop without fee**: ~ 2 to 3 weeks after start of semester (or ~1.5 week after study cards are turned in). You may need instructor’s approval depending on the class.

**Last Day to add**: Mid-October / early March. After this date, students may add for units of TIME only, and must get special approval from Student Affairs Office.

**Last Day to Drop**: End of October/ Mid-to-Late March. After this date, any withdraw will need special petition, and a grade of “WD” will be notated on the transcript if approved.

NOTE: The add/drop dates may be different if your class is cross-registered, check the corresponding school’s calendar.
